Everything begins with a personal consultation, and I work from photographs you provide. We can plan your painting, review the artist's proof, and make any necessary refinements without ever meeting in person.

Every painting begins with your photographs, but the finished artwork is so much more than a photograph.

I personally create the composition, pose, background, colors, and light, using professional painting software as my artistic medium. Every brushstroke and artistic decision is my own.

Once you've approved your artist's proof, your painting is produced on archival fine-art canvas and individually hand-finished with traditional artist's oils and glazes, adding depth, texture, and richness.

The result is a beautiful work of art, created with modern tools and finished with traditional craftsmanship.

Traditional oil painters typically begin with a blank canvas. I begin with photographs of your daughter and her horse, using them as references to create an entirely new painting.

My modern approach gives us a wonderful advantage: we can develop the ideal composition, lighting, and atmosphere while paying close attention to the authentic likeness of both subjects.

And before your painting is finished, you'll see an artist's proof.

My favorite reaction? "Oh my gosh. That's THEM!"

If something isn't quite right, we can make the necessary adjustments before the artwork is finalized.

Because a beautiful painting is wonderful. But a beautiful painting that unmistakably looks like your daughter and her horse? That's everything.

Original paintings begin at $5,000 for a 24-inch portrait (on the longest side) of your daughter and her horse, painted in my signature style. More complex backgrounds and additional subjects are quoted individually.

An initial payment of $895 begins your commission and is credited toward your painting.

Once you approve your artist's proof, we'll discuss where the painting will hang and determine the ideal size for your home. At that point, your payments will bring the total paid to two-thirds of the final price, with the remaining balance due before delivery.

Your daughter's painting and story will also be featured in the project's beautifully produced equestrian magazine, and you'll receive a copy.

Once I have your photographs and everything I need to begin, your finished painting will typically be ready in approximately 6–8 weeks. I'll keep you updated throughout the process.

The magazine will be produced after all 50 paintings and stories are complete, so you'll receive it separately from your portrait.
