You Are Worth Being Seen

I believe every woman carries a story—layered with strength, resilience, tenderness, and triumph. But too often, we put ourselves last. We give, we care, we build—but rarely pause to be seen.

When I create a portrait, it’s not just about capturing your likeness. It’s about holding up a mirror and showing you the beauty, depth, and power you may have forgotten was there.

I’ll never forget a client of mine a few years back who cried when she saw her finished portrait. She said, “I haven’t felt beautiful in decades.” The portrait changed the way she saw herself, and it’s why I do this work.

This process is intimate. It begins with listening—deeply. I want to know who you are, what lights you up, and how you want to be remembered. Then, with photography and hand-painted oils, I create a piece that’s more than art—it’s a statement:

You are worth it.
You always have been.

MY STORY

I’ve had a full-time portrait studio in Midland, Michigan for over 20 years, but painting has always pulled at me. While living in Los Angeles, I studied with a masters teacher who told me, “You can get lucky once—but you need to know how you did it, so you can do it again.”
That stuck with me.

Finding my own painting style took time—a lot of experimenting, refining, and starting over. But I'm there. Now, every portrait I create has a look and feel that’s uniquely mine—warm, elegant, and full of life.

I hope you see something of yourself in it, too.
